Question: If I submit an application electronically I am not able to add a signature. Is this a problem? |
Answer:
If submitting an application online, you will be required to indicate your consent to the University holding and processing your personal data in line with the relevant Privacy
Notice prior to submission. This will be taken as your agreement, and therefore replaces a signature on the application form.
If you submit an application either via email or post, you must sign the last page of the form before sending. Any applications received which have not been signed must be rejected, and therefore disqualified from consideration. Where possible, a member of the Personnel team will notify the applicant in cases where an application has not been signed, requesting that a signed version is re-submitted.

Question: When will I know if I have been successful? What is the timescale involved? |
Answer:
In the case of candidates who have submitted an application for employment online, you will receive an automatic email informing you of the shortlisting decision if you have not been successful. Please be advised that this may sometimes default to the 'junk' inbox, which you are advised to check if you have not received a response. It is not possible to contact individual candidates who have applied off-line.
We aim to inform successful candidates of the selection process details a minimum of one week prior to the first stage interview. Therefore, if you have not heard from us within this timeframe, please assume that you have been unsuccessful.
Feedback to candidates who are unsuccessful at the shortlisting stage will be given, on request.
