University College Birmingham have joined forces with the UniConnect Programme (UCP) to encourage young people into higher education. In a response to this, we are looking for an individual with experience of supporting events, complemented by an aptitude for administration tasks, to join us in the role of Outreach Support Assistant. 

Duties associated with the role include: 
  • Supporting and planning outreach events.
  • Undertaking a range of administration tasks, including those with a financial focus. 
  • Gathering and reporting on relevant data to drive the success of the programme. 
  • Taking a proactive approach to creating and maintaining professional relationships with key stakeholders.  
In addition to relevant prior experience, the successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to effectively organise and prioritise competing tasks; and proven IT skills. 

The post-holder must have a flexible approach to work, as evening/weekend work may occasionally be required. 

This position is offered on a fixed term basis until 31 July 2022. There is potential for post to be extended based on external funding. 

Closing date: Friday 14 January 2022 at midday
