Hired@UCB provides careers, employability and placement services to our students based upon 6 key themes: GET Started, GET Skilled, GET Experience, GET Hired, GET Enterprising and GET On. We currently have a vacancy for an Employability Tutor (Placements).

The role of the Employability Tutor is to support our further education students undertaking courses which contain compulsory work experience or industry placement to gain valuable experience and employability skills. Working with students studying on Creative Services programmes, such as: Level 3 Hairdressing, Level 3 Beauty Therapy, and Level 3 Theatrical Special Effects, Hair and Media Make-up, you will organise work placements, mentor students on placement, ensure that appropriate quality systems are in place to support and embed learning, as well as maintain databases, support with open days and effectively promote the University through a variety of mediums.  You will also develop strong links with UCB Schools and Departments regarding the service, as well as engage directly with employers to source and develop partnership and placement opportunities.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience in the Creative Services sector, supported by a minimum level 5 qualification in this field, together with experience in a client-facing role and an understanding of careers/employability/placements. You will have excellent communication and organisation skills, proficiency in administration and the use of IT.
