Hired provides
careers, employability and placement services to our students. We currently
have a vacancy for an Employability Tutor supporting the placement provision
within our FE courses. Focusing on the Business, Finance and Computing sector,
you will organise placements, mentor students on placement, provide CV
assistance, maintain databases, support with open days and effectively promote
the University through a variety of mediums. You will also develop strong links
with UCB Schools and Departments regarding the service, as well as engage
directly with employers to source and develop partnership and placement
opportunities.
The successful candidate
will have knowledge of supporting students, either into placements/work
experience, with career support or employability support through either
experience or qualification, in addition to experience in a client-facing role.
You will have excellent communication and organisation skills, the ability to
work with a diverse range of clients, and proficiency in administration and the
use of IT. To be successful in this application, you will possess a minimum
level 5 qualification, preferably in a field relevant to the post. Flexibility
and a willingness to conduct placement visits off-site as required are
