UCB has a vacancy for an individual with experience of food preparation in a professional catering environment, coupled with a minimum level 2 qualification (or equivalent apprenticeship) to join our busy catering support team, in the role of Catering Assistant (Chef) within the College of Food.

The role will involve food preparation and cooking in the University’s staff and student-facing food outlets. You will have opportunity to demonstrate your creativity and knowledge through the development of interesting and diverse menus, for which you will take responsibility for food ordering and budgets. You will work as part of a team, ensuring the highest possible standards and customer satisfaction.

The proposed shift pattern for this role is 7.30 – 15.30 Monday – Friday. Flexibility is expected in line with the needs of the service.
