The School of Education, Health and Community has a strong vocational focus and has undergone a period of growth over recent years. It has a portfolio which provides progression from Level 2 to Level 7, and includes full-time, part-time and apprenticeship provision.

UCB now look to appoint an Assistant Dean for Education and Professional Practice, to be responsible for the operational delivery, quality and enhancement of a range of programmes including: teaching apprentices, primary, and education and professional practice.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills are essential, in addition to relevant teaching experience, and experience of management and curriculum development in an education setting.

Your application will be supported by relevant postgraduate and recognised teaching qualifications. The University strongly encourages engagement with continued professional development opportunities, in order to maintain standards and relevance within the field.

It is expected that the post-holder will offer flexibility to support the needs of the service, including a willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
